Closing out 2024 with Impact

Updated: Dec 26, 2024

Developing international partnerships for startups and fostering innovation ecosystems is critical, now more than ever. Technology and training have proven to be powerful bridges, connecting geographic and cultural divides, enabling real-time collaboration, and tackling global challenges while driving business growth.

2024 has been a transformative year for Noga and a deeply challenging one for the State of Israel. Yet, we remained steadfast in creating value and connecting Israeli technologies and mindset with the Spanish-speaking world. In this newsletter, we are proud to share some of 2024’s highlights, including groundbreaking projects and knowledge-sharing tools such as visits to remarkable startups and impactful events.

We hope the coming year brings peace, health, and prosperity to you and your loved ones. Let’s continue to unlock the power of innovation for a brighter future.

Our 2024 Innovation Journey

Successful Collaborations and Projects

Grupo Bimbo: Since 2019, we have been collaborating with the company to drive innovation and identify cutting-edge solutions. In 2024, Noga engaged with 106 startups on behalf of Bimbo’s internal teams. As in previous years, the focus remained on key areas such as egg replacements, sugar reduction, and food preservatives. Additionally, scouting efforts expanded into new sectors, including molecular farming and cacao substitutes, while also addressing challenges in logistics, operations, and agribusiness.

Noga began scouting technologies for Bollo Natural Fruit, a renowned Spanish company specializing in the production and distribution of high-quality fruits, primarily citrus and melons. We are proud to support the company in integrating disruptive Agritech solutions to optimize its processes and agricultural practices. To date, we have identified 35 startups offering technologies focused on automating agricultural tasks, saving water, and extending fruit shelf life.

Noga is partnering with PROCOMER- the Agency in charge of promoting Costa Rican exportations of goods and services- to design the Training Program for Companies with Export Potential, aimed at unlocking Costa Rica’s barriers for innovation. This initiative seeks to empower future exporters by enhancing the value of their products and services through innovation, ultimately boosting the country’s exports. The program will combine group sessions with personalized mentoring, focusing on evaluating each company’s current standing and identifying key competitive gaps in their innovation capabilities to succeed in export markets

In collaboration with our local partner from Guatemala, Volcano Capital, we supported Banco Industrial, in its exploration of Israeli technologies in Fintech, Cybersecurity, and AI, with a total of 30 startups engaged. As Guatemala's largest financial institution and a trailblazer in innovation, Banco Industrial is committed to modernizing its services, embracing advanced technologies, and delivering enhanced customer experiences while introducing groundbreaking solutions.
